Upcoming Events: Commission by FRIENDS OF VOCE to write a work for Soprano, Clarinet and piano in 2007 that was performed in February of 2008. This will be performed again in New Haven Connecticut in March 2009. Please contact Sarah for details. Recently commissioned to write a work for VOCE, an outstanding chorus in Hartford Enhanced CD, A Garland of Hymns and Carols released in October on 2008. The CD is onsale now. Meneely-Kyder is working on a large-scale War Oratorio that reflects her father's experience as a doctor in WW II in the 10th Mountain Division and life in the aftermath of the war. Sarah's sister, Nancy Fitz-Hugh Meneely, is the librettist. Ms Kyder in her role as pianist performed the Clarinet Sonata with Thomas Cooke, Sanctus, transcribed for 4 hands, with Donald Funk, Meditation One for piano and cello, with Eric Dahlin, Principal of Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and "Dream With Me" from Peter Pan with Eric Dahlin and soprano, Jennifer Lamson. Nina Bernstein, daughter of Maestro Bernstein, was at Recent Performances: A performance of the music of Leonard Bernstein on September 20th, 2008, at Immanuel Congregational Church in Hartford, CT. This was the first in a series of performances by The Woodland Concert Series. Nina Bernstein, daughter of Maestro Bernstein, was at the concert and spoke intermittently to a large and enthusiastic audience. Releases: A Garland of Hymns and Carols - Purchase CD Now Past Events : March of 2006 - Meneely-Kyder coordinated and presented herself both as performer and composer in presentations of solo piano works by Ann Silsbee and the poetry of Ann Silsbee set to music for piano/ soprano and piano / two sopranos by members of New York Women Composers in Ithaca NY and in NYC. Meneely-Kyder is a member of the New York Women Composers. August 2005 - Presented works by Beethoven, Prokofiev and J.S. Bach with violinist Pedro Pinyol and the late violinist, Peter Sacco, founder and artistic director of the immensely popular Summer Music Festival at Harkness Park in Waterford, CT.
